Singapore Research and Innovation Moves from Aging Study to Real-World Health Assessment

Hosted by Lucence at the NUS Enterprise Building, The Science of Healthy Longevity brought together researchers, clinicians and industry partners to look at how Singapore’s long-term investment in ageing research can be translated into practical applications for healthier aging.


The event marked a milestone in the collaboration between National University of Singapore, A*STAR and Lucence, building on findings from the Singapore Longitudinal Ageing Studies (SLAS), which followed more than 5,400 Singaporeans for over a decade.


The Straits Times covered the event and the development of a data-backed health assessment tool based on this research, including findings on how lifestyle factors such as exercise, diet, smoking and weight are associated with biological age.
